While we still first and foremost Johnny Weir fans, US figure skating’s Jeremy Abbott is also a joy to watch. And he’s done exhibition skates to George Michael’s “Faith” and “I Gotta Get Through This” by Daniel Bedingfield, so even aside from his superb skating we’re loving the musical choices. Doesn’t mean we won’t be cheering on Johnny in Vancouver, but a 1-2 finish wouldn’t be too shabby.

According to Faber, his first experience with evangelical Christianity was not all that different from other gays his age.

“Sure, I looked at the Book of Leviticus once or twice—everybody has,” Faber said. “We all experiment a little bit with that stuff when we’re growing up. But I was just a kid. I didn’t think it meant anything.”

The openly gay (and married!) singer-songwriter is signed to Justin Timberlake’s Tenman label (he also used to perform as a child with Timberlake on the Mickey Mouse Club). This little bird is still making her way through the full CD, but loves everything she’s heard so far.

Mexico City Legalizes Same-Sex Marriage

Mexico City has become the first city in Latin America to legalize same-sex marriage. City lawmakers passed the measure by a 39-to-20 vote. The bill changes the definition of marriage from the union of a man and a woman to “the free uniting of two people.”

This gives me a great deal of hope. I love that they use the phrase “the free uniting of two people.” What a great bit of news this week.
