It is the leading candidate on my list. It wasn't exactly a matter of there not being enough fill though there wasn't-the down was very loosely packed, like they were being stingey with itbut cold air made its way into the bag from cold spots, which I had to fuss around with all night. I hocked the thing on ebay and instead got a Western Mountaineering Versalite a 10 degree bag which nevertheless has about twice as much down as the Kilo Plusand I've found the Versalite far far warmer.
If anyone has other ideas in my price range, I'm open to hearing them, too. I used the Kilo Plus in a wide range of conditions from desert camping to coastal camping.
My experience with the Kilo Plus makes me disagree. The Kilo Plus is a very nice bag, too.
REI Kilo Plus. The temperatures never got below 30 and on every occasion I was cold all night. Good workmanship, good materials, and a very good price for the package.
I just wore my fleece, long underwear, and heavy socks inside it, and I was comfortable. View Full Version : Marmot Teton vs.
I'm not a warm sleeper.
